She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Patterson and Jo Ann Cole Patterson; and her brother David Patterson. She is survived by: her husband Terry Kessinger; her daughters, Melody Allen and Michelle Kessinger; her grandchildren, Brittney Boykin, Charlie Allen, Aubrey Allen and Jonah Villarreal; and her sister Toni Smith.
