With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Thurston Rice (Columbia, Tennessee), who passed away on December 27, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oneida Thurston and Plush Thurston; and her sisters, LaRue Demartiono, Jane Garis and Jewell Thurston.
She is survived by: her husband Clifton Rice; her children, Janice Cook and Neil Rice (Jason Blume); her grandchildren, Nathanial Cook (Melissa), John Cook Jr. and Elliot Cook (Michele); and her great grandchildren, Anthony Cook, Aiden Cook, Markus Cook, Camilla Cook and Harper Cook.
