She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy J. Sliger and Mary Lee Ford Sliger; her grandparents, Charlie, Anna Jernigan Ford, Jim and Lizzie Sliger; her children, Sherry Kay Ballard Hooten and James Chadwick "Chad" Flatt; her brother Jimmy Franklin "Frank" Sliger; and the fathers of children, James Howard Flatt and Roy Kenneth Ballard.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Hines (James H. Hines); her grandchildren, Makala Baker (Adam) and Zelda Strong; her niece Emily Sliger; and her pet Teddy B..
