He is survived by: his wife Linda Thompson Downey; his children, Angie Downey Trusty (Dennis), Stacy Shelton Pelfrey (Teeter) and Renea Kendall Boggs (Clayton); and his grandchildren, Dylan Keen, Elijah McCallister, Callie Kendall, Mattea Trusty, Delana Lombardo, Tia Trusty, Dorian McCalpin, Jayce Keen and Carissa Bradbury. He is also survived by family members and friends.
