She was predeceased by: her parents, William Doy Crislip and Mary Susan Elwood Crislip; her husband Joe Sam Carter; her brothers, Donald, William, Edward, Robert and Roger Crislip; and her granddaughter Tonya Jean Smith.
She is survived by: her children, David Carter (Penny), Stephen Carter (Tammy) and Joane Gottenboss (Ray). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
