We bid farewell to Dorothy Harris (Cookeville, Tennessee), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 10, 2024 at the age of 86. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, Sadie Bryant Wheeler and Haskel Wheeler; her brother Gene Wheeler; her brothers-in-law, Grover Upchurch, Jerry Waller and Pope Allen; and her children, Dale Harris (Bridget), Jeff Harris and Marsha Poore (Kevin).
She is survived by : her siblings, Edith Upchurch, Reba Allen, Mary Waller, Dewey (Nita Wheeler) and Billy (Pam Wheeler); her grandchildren, Corey Harris, Nicolas Harris, Kyle Harris, Kati, Cody Slatton, Luke Poore and Hannah Poore; and her great grandchildren, Brinley and Aria. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home (798 S Willow Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
