He was predeceased by : his wife Joyce; his parents, Thomas K. Layne and Hazel Noe Layne of Virginia's Mingo County; and his siblings, Tom, Freda, Billie Gay, Betsy and Barbara.
He is survived by : his siblings, Dainese Riggins of Chattanooga and John "Buck" Layne of Cassatt, S. C.; and his children, Doak (Jackie), Danny (Patty), Darren Layne and Denise. He is also survived by His family extended to eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or as an alternative way to honor Frank, consider teaching a Sunday School Class... helping coach a team your child doesn't play on... becoming a Referee or Umpire... serving as a mentor... signing up as a substitute teacher... or finding a way to devote some of your time, talent or resources to this community you call "home".
