He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Milton Hawkins and Maudie C. Hooten Hawkins; his daughter-in-law Valerie Slatton Hawkins; his stepson Jamie Roberts; and his sisters, Mondona Oakes, Louise Elrod, Verdie Lee Adcock and Norma Jean Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Marlow Hawkins; his sons, Mike Hawkins, Rick Hawkins and Tony Hawkins (Tennille); his siblings, Lena Rose Tayes, Beatrice Gentry and Willie Mayhue Hawkins; and his grandchildren, Asa, Judah Hawkins, Roman and Ezra Hawkins.
