He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Howard Maynard Sr. and Emma Jean Ray Maynard; and his granddaughter Katie Beth Maynard. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Maynard; his children, Melissa Maynard and Brian Maynard (Leah); his grandson Nolan Maynard of Cookeville; and his brother Ronald Maynard, Sr. (Joyce) of Cookeville.

In lieu of flowers, Fred requested donations be made to The American Heart Association.

He taught me not just everything about diving, but about leadership & responsibility. I loved everything about working the Dive Shop. My best memories are our dive trips and certifications on Dale Hollow. One of a kind. Patient, smart, kind, considerate, funny. You'll be remembered with deep respect. RIP 🙏”
