He was predeceased by: his parent Shelia Clarence; and his siblings, Betty Sue Langford, Bobby Howell, Donald Howell and Don Troupe.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Norris Howell; his children, Regina (Kenny Johnson) and Cliff (Amy Howell); and his grandchildren, Nikki Rich (Martin), Dustin Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Gavin Howell and Alex Howell.
