We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2025, at the age of 69, Janet Scott of Cookeville, Tennessee, born in Dearborn, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David C. Shepard and Marion Louise Shepard (Rice); her husband Arthur Scott; her son Jimmy Nelson; her stepdaughter Betty Clinton; and her grandson Matt Tinsley.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Walker (Steven); her stepchildren, Jeff Dillon (Cindy) and Marsha Clinton; her brother Steve Shepard; and her caregiver Crystal Holman. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crest Lawn Funeral Home (800 W Jackson St, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
