With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Dyer in Cookeville, Tennessee, born in Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, who passed away on January 13, 2026 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jimmy Dyer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Dyer and Myrtle Haney Dyer; his wife Kathy Marie Phillips Dyer; and his brothers, Eddy Royce Dyer, Russell Wayne Dyer and Douglas Ray Dyer.

He is survived by: his children, James Dyer (Holly) of Cookeville, TN and Karen Wilson (Shannon) of Cookeville, TN; his sisters, Shirley Ann Mee of Cookeville, TN and Elizabeth Gayle Hogue (Roger) of Baxter, TN; his grandchildren, Chelsea Dyer of Chicago, IL, Daniel Wilson (Misty) of Huntsville, AL, Jacob Dyer, Gabriel Dyer, Grace Johnson (Garrett) of Sparta, TN, Maddox Wilson of Cookeville, TN, Lillianne Wilson of Cookeville, TN and Eva Wilson of Cookeville; and his close friend Julie Sims. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
