It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Allison of Cookeville, Tennessee, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick John and Lillian Edna Reidl Spitler; her husband John Robert "Bob" Allison, II; and her brother David Spitler. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Boles (Will) of Cookeville, Kim Miller (Bill) of Smyrna and Amy McGuire (Brian) of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Makenna Miller, Wes Boles (Graceann) and Rylee McGuire; and her sister Susan Arata (Robert) of Cookeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter, 2650 Gainesboro Grade, Cookeville, TN 38501.
