He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantine Bargovan and Anita Julie Bargovan; and his siblings, Helen Almendarez, Darlene Trupaino and Peter Bargovan.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Bargovan; his children, Mark Bargovan (Cathy), Stephanie Crozier (Jaime), Sara Bargovan, Jennifer Tramel (David) and Pate Watson (Kristy); his sister Sylvia Lohr; his grandchildren, Landon and Sloane Bargovan; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley France, Aliza, Kylee, Emmerlyn and Baylor Patterson.

Memorial contributions in memory of Joe may be made to the Care Center at Stevens Street Baptist Church, 327 W. Stevens St., Cookeville, TN 38501.
