He was predeceased by: his father John A. Joyce (Jack); and his nephew Justin Brown. He is survived by: his mother Sarah Mae Mann Joyce (Karen); his son John Daniel (Chanel); his grandchildren, Bekki and John Paul; his sisters, Denise Joyce, Debbie Dixon (Jim) and Dianne Brown; his nieces, Debbie and Sarah Jo Zent (Justin); his great-niece Raylen; Tyler Brown (Becky).
John was the primary caretaker of the lands of West Cemetery, spending many mornings cleaning the grounds and caring for the monuments, and the family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to West Cemetery, c/o Sharon Howard, 4449 Old Bridge Road, Cookeville, Tennessee 38506.
