We announce the death of Kurt Brown (Cookeville, Tennessee), who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 84. Kurt will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dois I Ramsey and Elbert Lee Chrisman of Gainesboro; his daughter Cyndi Brown of Hilham; and his grandson Dale Brown of Hilham. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Brown; his children, Ron Brown of Cookeville, TN, Daniel Brown of Hilham, TN and Sheri Price (Jeff) of Lebanon, TN; his sister Wilma Kemp (Jimmy) of Southgate, MI; his grandchildren, Bo Price, DJ Brown (Abbey) of Old Hickory, TN and Hollynn Whitesell (Lane) of Lewisburg, TN; his great grandchild Lexi Brown (Colin); and his great great grandchild Oaklen Brown of Crossville, TN.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
