He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Laborn Loftis and Anna Jewel Wylie Loftis; his siblings, Lewis Loftis, Horace Lee Loftis (Sandy) and Jeanette Conner (Kenneth); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Strong (Doug), Rod Brown, Tom Stockton and Carlos Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Brown Loftis; his daughters, Jennifer Loftis of Cookeville, TN and Natalie Downs (Jonathan) of Cookeville, TN; his grandchildren, Zander Martin of Cookeville, TN and Skylar Martin of Cookeville, TN; his siblings, Ina Stockton of Clinton Township, Myra Cook of Sterling Heights, Ray Loftis (Paulette) of Livonia and Ronnie Loftis (Kaye) of Bloomington Springs, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Phillip Brown (Cathy), David Brown (Martha) and Annette Brown. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (2131 S Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN 38562). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
