It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Whitehead (Cookeville, Tennessee), who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martha touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband JB Whitehead; and her parents, Newell Steven Hutchings and Emma Muriel Seago. She is survived by: her caregivers, Janette, Don Gentry, Donald and Margie Jones; and her sisters, Marie Casey (Robert) and Patricia Ann Jones (Robert). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the Chestnut Mound Baptist Church Cemetery fund .
