She was predeceased by: her parents, L. Russ Haile and Bessie Allen Haile; her husband Alton Carter; her daughter Jeannie Carter Sprague; and her siblings, Evelyn Haile, Avo Haile Chambers, James Haile and William Haile.

She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn Carter Dudney of Cookeville; her grandchildren, Joshua Sprague (Samantha Earnhardt) and Katie Sprague Larson; and her great grandchildren, Nathan Teague, Kimberly Larson, Brandon Earnhardt and Evie Earnhardt.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Willow Meals at Willow Ave Church of Christ or Granville Cemetery.
