He was predeceased by: his parents, Denver Carpenter and Eddie Mae Fultz Carpenter. He is survived by: his son Adam Carpenter of Cookeville; his granddaughter Jada Carpenter; and his brothers, Michael Carpenter (Sharon) of London and John Carpenter (Kim) of London. He is also survived by several nephews, family and friends.
