It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Hunter of Cookeville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nell Hunter to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Carl Burgess; her husband James Bryan Hunter; and her siblings, Judy McCrary (Burgess) and Carl Glenn Burgess. She is survived by: her children, Katrina Hunter of Goodlettsville, Doyle Hunter (Sonja) of Lebanon, Sonja Lawrence (Chuck) of Allons, Bryan Hunter (Roselle) of Nashville, Hope Hunter of Knoxville, April Moore (Hannah) and Scott McCrary; her grandchildren, Zofia, Luca, Freya, Amelia Hunter, Sasha White and Brittany Wilson (White); her great grandchildren, Adam, Elizabeth, Zoey, Kayden and Brantley; and her siblings, Jerry Burgess, Sandra Pigg (Burgess) and Dennis Burgess.
Following the death of her husband, she remained steadfast for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for as long as she could, even overcoming COVID-19 at Christmastime in 2020.
