He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sommers and Josephine Locorini Sommers. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dell Zimmerman Sommers; his children, Christina Marie Olin (Gregory), Robert Christopher Sommers (Jeannie) and Thomas Bernard Sommers; and his siblings, Richard J. Sommers and Patricia A. Barnett. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
