It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy Douglas Poston of Cookeville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hallie England Poston Conner and Haggard Poston; and his son Earl Poston. He is survived by : his wife Virginia Poston; and his children, Peggy Mahler (Jeff) and Doug Poston (Marlene).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 7:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Whitson Funeral Home - Cookeville Chapel (30 N Dixie Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501).
