He is survived by: his wife Lori Young; his children, Hannah Young of Cookeville, TN, Leah Birdwell (Michael) of Cookeville, TN and Tanner Young of Tompkinsville, KY; his brother Jerry Young (Jo Ann) of Gainesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Serenity Young and Baby Birdwell; and his sisters-in-law, Shelia Young, Essie Young, Ruth Young and Phyllis Young. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (2131 S Grundy Quarles Hwy, Gainesboro, TN 38562). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
