He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Whitson and Irene Jones Huddleston; his wife Carolyn Shanks Huddleston; his son Bruce; his siblings, Ray, Carl Huddleston and Jodie Wagner; and his grandson Blake Huddleston.

He is survived by: his sons, David Huddleston (Kay) of Brentwood, Tennessee, Donnie Huddleston (Peggy) of Baxter, Tennessee, Gary Huddleston of Silver Point, Tennessee and Michael Huddleston (Lisa) of Cookeville, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Dr. Leslie Franklin (Stephen), John Huddleston, Jack Huddleston, Jennifer Sauvie (Marty), Adam Huddleston (Myiesha) and Brian Huddleston (Becky); his granddaughter-in-law Chrissy Huddleston; his great grandchildren, Kate, Heidi, Carolyn Rose, Aubrey, Mya, Joey, Carter, Caroline, Austin, Kaylee, Nate, Emma, Erik and Sage; and his caregivers, Helen Burgess and Belinda Crabtree.
