With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tom Hayes (Cookeville, Tennessee), born in Flint, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2025 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayes and Maria Hayes; his brother John Hayes; his uncle Thomas Hayes; and his father-in-law Shirrel Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Hayes; his daughters, Danielle Hayes Hawkins (Griffin Hawkins) and Ashley Hayes McKinney (Sam McKinney); his siblings, Maria Shaulis (Brian Shaulis), Monica Koby (Roger Koby), Patrick Hayes, Rebecca Carrol (George Carrol) and Joe Hayes (Julie Hayes); his aunts, Sue Hayes and Mary Fields; his uncle Frank Hayes; his mother-in-law Mary Ann Allen; and his sister-in-law Jenny Alcorn (Andy Alcorn). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Collegeside Church of Christ (252 E 9th St, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
