He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Whitney Maxwell and America Avo Worley Maxwell; his sister-in-law Ella Mae Kirkpatrick; his wife Minnie Pearl Kirkpatrick Maxwell; and his siblings, Ernest Vernon Maxwell, James Thomas Maxwell, Lloyd Etheridge Maxwell, Lillard Lewis Maxwell, Claiborne Whitney Maxwell, Lois Githare Knapp, Nola Odell Grider, Maude Joan Purvis, Myrtle Fliss Young, Mable Ann Buskirk, Effie Lou Ray and Ella Mae Burgess.
He is survived by: his brother Hooper (Ruby Maxwell) of Crossville; and his sister-in-law Willene Maxwell of Cookeville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
