He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Rackley and Martha Boatner Rackley; his daughter Barbara Rackley; and his sisters, Kathleen Genelle Rackley and Opal June Rackley Yarbrough.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Rackley; his daughters, Glenda Rackley Waters and Jennifer Rackley Davis (Christopher Davis); his grandchildren, Caleb Waters, Robert Waters (Bre), David Waters, Kaden Waters, Derek Davis, Creed Davis and Caylee Davis; his nephew Michael Nichols; his niece Judy Yarbrough; and his cousin William Newton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Food will be accepted; however, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bernhardt Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
