He was predeceased by : his parents, Hobert Roosevelt and Florence Louise Ledford Garrett; his former life partner Retha Geraldine Farmer Garrett; his children, Randall "Rod" Keith Garrett and Linda Faye Garrett; and his granddaughter Jessyca Garrett Reems.
He is survived by : his wife Emogene Garrett of Copperhill, Tennessee; his children, Tara Dockery (Jerome) of Murphy, Sheri Garrett of Hayesville, Tony Garrett (Becky) of Warne and Stephen Garrett (Maria) of Warne; his stepchildren, Sylvia Cone and Stanley Hollingshed; and his sister Maxine Moore of Blue Ridge, Georgia. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
