He was predeceased by: his son David Michael Emerson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Joan Emerson; his children, Paul Emerson (Milena), Richard Emerson (Kathy) and Lisa Emerson; and his grandchildren, Gabriella Emerson, John Tibbits, Kristen Hiller, Katelyn Canup and Will Emerson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
