He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Waford Upton and Annie Ruth London Upton; and his sister Annie Laura Upton. He is survived by : his sons, Richard Upton (Jade) of Columbia and Roger Upton (Kelly) of Cornersville; and his siblings, Kay of Columbia and Bob Upton of South Carolina. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
