He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Walker Zachary; his daughter Brenda; his sons-in-law, Rex Patten and Gary Hunley; his grandchildren, Julie Hughett (Jason), Katie Acuff, Stephanie Hunley (Brad), Andrew Patten (Kelly) and Ashley Tucker (Andrew); and his brother Doyle Zachary. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Eastview Memorial Gardens (1320 Andrew Johnson Hwy, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
