It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Ann Ownby Underwood of Corryton, Tennessee, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred W. Ownby and Sophia O. Ownby (Whaley) of Sevier County; her husband Dennis R Underwood, Sr.; and her great grandchild Brody Underwood. She is survived by: her children, Dennis R Underwood, Jr. (Dani), Joseph K Underwood (Jody), Sophia (Jan), Beretta (Brian) and Elizabeth Underwood (Ann); her grandchildren, Tyler Underwood, Nicole Holt (Dustin), Autumn Poplin (Underwood), Joseph Beretta (Kaylee) and Summer Yount; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Mason of Hank, JP, Owen, Myla, Jacob, Jordan and Brooklyn. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevens Mortuary Inc. (1304 Oglewood Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918).
