She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Powell and Eddie Powell; and her nephew Eric Powell. She is survived by: her husband William "Von" Von Schipmann II; her children, William "Bill" Von Schipmann III and Laura White (Shawn); her grandchildren, Mackin McCullough (Carson), Merimee Von Schipmann (Sonny DeTillo), William "Will" Von Schipmann IV, Bayden Von Schipmann, Madelyn Drew White and Amelia White; her brothers, Gene Powell and Mike Powell; and her sisters-in-law, Ardath Palmer, Ethel Woldt and Melita Brown Hood. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; her dear teacher friends; and beloved church friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Union County Humane Society, or the Corryton Hospitality Food Pantry, or to the Tennessee Memory Disorders Foundation.
