He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Murphy; his daughter Chrishanda Jones (Ky'ochia); his stepdaughter Jennifer Byrum (Keith); his grandson Jason Hoover; his son Travis Lovell; his siblings, David Murphy, Rebecca Shutrump (Rick), Deborah Trent (Keith) and Darlene Workman (Tim); his uncles, Robert Murphy and Gary Carr (Darlene); and his aunt Sylvia Carr.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Caledonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery (7817 N Ruggles Ferry Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924).
