We bid farewell to Elbert Hunley of Corryton, Tennessee, born in Speedwell, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 29, 2025 at the age of 82. Elbert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Margie Hunley; his parents, Clay Hunley and Minnie Jessie Hunley; and his brothers, George Donald, James Hunley and Jerry Hunley.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Parsley (Michael) and Lynn Hunley (Amy); his grandchildren, Nathan Parsley, Mikaela Shannon (Jacob), Hunter Hunley, Harlen Hunley (Tori) and Weslyn Hunley; his great grandchild Sophia Shannon; and his siblings, Robert Hunley (Geneva), Johnny Hunley, Mary Heming (Ralph), Marie Coleman and Susie Gilbert (Jerry).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Final Resting Place Lynnhurst Cemetery (2300 Adair Dr, Knoxville, TN 37918).
