James Arthur Chandler Obituary

James Arthur Chandler – age 87 of Corryton passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at his home. Member of Rutledge Pike Missionary Baptist Church. Retired iron worker with Local 384. James was a 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite. Preceded in death by wife, Iva Iola Chandler; parents, Everette and Leva Chandler; and brothers, Glenn and Hollis Chandler.

Survived by son, Steve Chandler and wife Barbara; daughters, Phyllis Fansler and husband Daryl, Pam Oakes, and Ginger Harriman and husband Mark; grandchildren, Amy Cox, Alison Mullen, Sarah Fansler, Luke Chandler, Judd Chandler, Kenna Oakes, Lance Oakes, Jonathan Nicholson, Monét Harriman, Marley Harriman; several great grandchildren; sister, Delphia Davis and husband Johnny; brother, Rev.

Ray Chandler and wife Wanda; and sister-in-law Della Chandler. Special thank you to the hospice nurses for their care. A Masonic service will be followed by the Funeral at 7:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2017, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Zavattieri and Rev. Charles Reynolds officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Saturday at Rutledge Pike Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
