He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Slover and Henry Slover; and his siblings, Laverna "Boots" Dunlap, Elaine Weathers and Eugene Slover.

He is survived by: his son Justin; and his daughter-in-law Amanda Slover. He is also survived by several neighbors and friends.

The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
