He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy Mynatt Atkins; and his father Roy Marshall Atkins. He is survived by: his son Chris Atkins (Lora); his grandchildren, Timothy Atkins (Kendal), Sarah Ayala (Yeysson) and Bradley Atkins; his great grandchildren, Brinnley Munsey, Clifton Atkins, Liam Ayala, Kayley Ayala, Khelen Atkins and Charlee Atkins; his mother Elizabeth Ann Pierce; and his siblings, Kathy Thornhill and Steve Atkins (Cyndy).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938).
