He was predeceased by: his wife Priscilla "Percy" Oakes; and his father Billie Oakes. He is survived by: his children, Ken (Dena Oakes), Bill (Christy Oakes) and Jennifer; his son-in-law Shane Estes; his grandchildren, Kennedy Oakes, Joshua Oakes, Elizabeth Oakes Martin (Zach), Hutson Oakes, Asa Estes and Josie Estes; and his girlfriend Linda Cunningham.
