He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cheetham Bowden and Lille Ruth Lawrence Bowden; his wife Evelyn Sue Odom Bowden; and his siblings, Lillie Mae Odom, Curtis Bowden and James Bowden.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Jones (Jeff) of Palmersville, TN, Tammy Wood (Kenneth) of Cottage Grove, Brenda Wood (Carl) of Cottage Grove, Wendy Wynn (Les) of Puryear, TN, Randall Bowden (Sherry) of Paris, TN and Gary Bowden of Cottage Grove; his sister Marynell King of Paris; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Josh, Jessica, Ava, Billy, Landon, Jonathan, Justin, Jordan, Russell, Colby, Lance, Abby, Hunter, Hannah and Liam. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cox Cemetery Fund at Commercial Bank and Trust in Paris, TN.
