Douglas A. Hanes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2025, at the age of 72, Douglas A. Hanes of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Hanes and Gladys Marie Higgs Hanes; and his brother David Hanes. He is survived by: his wife Patti Newsome Hanes; his children, Shanna Dawn Hanes (Joseph Reynolds) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Douglas Adam Hanes (Shari) of White House, TN.; his grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Abby Hanes and Luca Hanes-Reynolds; his siblings, John Hanes (Bonnie), Bill Hanes (Gerri) and Janice Hanes; his mother-in-law Betty Maxwell; and his friends, Steve Phelps, Steve Miller, Dennis Harris and Lynn Fly Whitmer. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel (832 Broadway Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
