He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Buck" Carter and Jean Carter. He is survived by: his wife Linda Martin Carter; his children, Tammy Knight (Jeff) and Jay Wilson (Shannon) of Oakland, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Arica Beller (Michael) of Frankenmuth, Amanda Acosta (Trey) of Savannah, Taylor Bouchard (David) of Oakland, Dallas Lee of Bartlett, Christopher Wilson (Arielle) of Somerville, Hannah Wilson and Kelsey Wilson of Oakland; his great grandchildren, Addy Acosta, Mikey, Callie and James Beller; and his brother Gary Carter (Ginger) of Brighton, TN.
Memorials may be made to the Darryl Worley Cancer Center, Sheltering Tree Ranch or St. Peter's by the Lake Anglican Church Futures Fund.
