He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clinton Wardlow and Helen Wardlow; his brother Buddy Wardlow; his wife Cheryl Wardlow; his children, Mindy Hurst (Clint), Scott Bumpas, Stacy Carnal and Jill Daniel; his grandchildren, Jessica Hurst, Rachel Monroe, River Hurst, Sara Hurst, Brett Carnal, Alex Carnal, Claire Adkisson and Taylor Willis; and his siblings, Linda Burks (Alton), Donald Wardlow, Jean McMeans (James), Bobby Wardlow, Randy Wardlow (Diane), Harry Wardlow and Kelly Wardlow (Sherry). He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews.
