He is survived by: his pets, River and Piper; his wife Amanda Mcknight; his parents, Edwin McKnight and Barbara McKnight; his father-in-law Kenneth Phillips (Audra); his siblings, Jim McKnight and Lauren Heath (Trey); his brother-in-law Luke Phillips; and his siblings' children, Sam Mcknight and Mackenzie Heath.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Smithsonian Institution National Museum of American History in Washington, DC.
