She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Hughes; her son Michael Hughes; her brother Archibald Gordon; and her son-in-law Zane Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Glenda Fullen (Tommy) of Atoka and Valorie Smith of Ripley; her grandchildren, Jason Doty, Stephen Smith and Mary Elzie (Brandon); and her brothers, James Gordon, Emmett Gordon and Charles Gordon. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home (1701 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Grace Cemetery (3819 Edith-Nankipoo Rd, Ripley, TN 38063).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Macedonia Baptist Church in her honor.
