He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Mathis and Nannie Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Blakeman Mathis; his sons, Michael Shane Mathis (Tina) and Billy Scott Mathis (Debra); his sister Sharon Mathis Downing; and his grandsons, Wesley Scott, Evan Kate and Gabriel Alister.
