He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Arthur and Katherine Russell; and his brother Buddy Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Lillie Arthur; his stepchildren, Johnny Pilkington, Joe Pilkington, Travis Pilkington, Ronald Pilkington and Lillie A. Pilkington; his son Ruston Nails; and his sister June Arthur. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
