He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Jo Max Housel; his daughter Deborah Tyler; and his siblings, Lloyd Housel and Jane Blank. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Maxey (Donny Maxey); his son-in-law Jimmy Tyler; his grandchildren, Jeffery B. Tyler, Jessica N. Maxey, Hunter Maxey and Heather M. Davis; Connor and Peyton Marie Davis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Community Church's Benevolence Fund or Food Pantry (PO Box 114, Brighton, TN 38011) in memory of Donald, continuing his spirit of kindness and service to others.
