She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Alexander Burns; her son Charles Clayton Coats; and her siblings, Jerry Hartsfield, Harold Dean Hartsfield and Martha Kellum.

She is survived by: her children, Janet Cross of Brighton, Belinda Denise Park (David) of Covington, Lisa Michelle Jones (Wade) of Burlison and Alex Dean Burns (Terri) of Pearl, MS; and her brothers, Wayne Hartsfield of Covington, Chris Hartsfield of Covington and Kenneth Hartsfield of Covington. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
